In the San Francisco Bay Area, an innovative approach to education & college planning is taking shape. StrivePath, a platform dedicated to personal development and coaching, sought to create a logo and comprehensive brand identity that reflected its mission to empower individuals on their journey to personal growth. The goal was to establish a visual identity that resonates with a wide audience, conveys the brand’s values, and differentiates StrivePath in a competitive market of academic & college planning services.
Defining the Brand Identity: The first challenge was to distill the essence of StrivePath into a visual form. The brand needed to communicate empowerment, guidance, transformation, and hope in the future—core values that are central to personal development. The branding had to appeal to a diverse audience, ranging from young students seeking personal growth to professional coaches looking for resources and tools. The personal development space is crowded, so the branding had to be distinctive and memorable, ensuring StrivePath stands out in a competitive market.
Concepts were developed exploring different visual directions. Including a range of colors, typography, and imagery that conveyed empowerment, growth, and positivity. Each logo concept aimed to symbolize a different aspect of the brand. Ranging from abstract representations of growth paths to more literal interpretations, such as guiding stars or pathways. The final logo chosen was a dynamic, modern design that symbolized an upward path, with a color palette that evoked trust, energy, and optimism.
Hidden Meanings
1. Personal trajectory path. Rarely a straight line, always moving forward. 2. The hidden “S” 3. The 4-point star representing hope, optimism, and the 4 service pillars.
The color palette was developed around the primary colors we all begin using in gradeschool. Although these colors represent more mature hues and have grown into their own unique blend that sets them apart from their younger counterparts.
BRAND VOICE & VISUAL TONE
When creating a new brand, it has to go beyond pretty pictures. StrivePath needed a voice to speak to their audience directly on their level. No flowery language or jargon, just straight to the point. The visual representation was the same non-nonsense approach. Flat color and strong fonts help to bring the message front and center. It was important to show the diversity of the Bay Area through the selection of photography. Unfiltered images of students from all walks of life give credence to the fact that there is not one correct path, but a unique plan for each individual.
RESULT
The logo and brand development project for StrivePath successfully captured the essence of their mission and positioned it for growth in a competitive market. By focusing on the core values of empowerment and transformation, we were able to create a visual identity that resonates with the target audience and supports the platform’s mission of guiding individuals on their personal growth journeys.
